Thousand Year.

A collection of poems, prayers and contemplations

“So, what do you write about?”

“Ask me tomorrow, and I may answer differently. Today, I see writing as a tuning fork...”

It’s about life as art. It’s about life as enduring, ever-changing, harmonious art. It’s about a way of being. It’s about a way of relating to each other and the planet — that when we walk forward in time, when we walk forward the seeds we are planting now, we see a beautiful world. It’s about being a good ancestor, about planting chestnut trees. It’s about us, all of us, and not just me and me again. It’s about a graceful dance with change. All of this, so that our grandchildren may say, “I want to sit on abuela’s lap. She is wise, and I want to learn the dance of life she has to offer”.
